MAsT is a community-inclusive support group for individuals involved, or interested, in   Master/slave or dominant/submissive dynamics. It is a forum for like-minded individuals to come together once a month for discussion of issues of concern, to share ideas, and to gain/share knowledge of M/s and D/s dynamics.

MAsT is open to all adults interested in consensual power exchange relationships. We are comprised of members of all genders and orientations, and we encourage all who are interested in power exchange dynamics to attend and participate in our meetings. There is no requirement that you currently be in an M/s, D/s, or power exchange relationship to attend meetings.

MAsT Metro NY is not supported or sponsored by any other group. We are run by members, for the members entirely. We are all unpaid volunteers. As a non-profit support group, we collect fees and dues in order to pay for the rental of the room that we use every month. We also pay dues to MAsT International, our centralized parent group, and occasionally allocate donations to local charities and groups such as the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom and The Woodhull Freedom Foundation. The dues we collect also go to pay for any other overhead costs that the organization incurs throughout the calendar year.

Since our inception, MAsT Metro NY has enjoyed a custom of offering refreshments at our meetings for all of our attendees to partake of and enjoy. Our ability to offer refreshments to the members and guests at our meetings is driven entirely by contributions from our attendees. Whether people bring store-bought or home-made items, everyone is encouraged to participate in bringing food and beverages to share at our monthly meetings. Consideration of low-sugar or trans-fat free refreshments is encouraged, but not mandatory.
